Sober Minded

When your heart is heavier than the white feather,
when the worries of your brain, restrain
the simple trust of truth, then do not let it so remain
for any length of time or even forever

A brown cord coiled up closely,
was placed next to the prophetic sight
Break up the fallow ground, meditate, ponder deeply
and till the word being your centred thought,
take this treasure from your chest
and stretch it to the furthest

It then unfolded in my breast, and threw
o’er my notes that piled up dust
all things round a full, reborn light
And like a rich jewel gleaming in a troubled mind,
faith and the beauty and simplicity,
began again to dawn on me

Pardon

Pardon big, and pardon bright,
only in the light, will you behold the darkness
No other song will be your delight
What do you see, He asked me,
look, are there any flames in the night ?

For He has light up the darkness
by His servants of Light,
pardoning all the others

You shall see them and be in wonder

our Lord has done this, they will say
and will give Him honour, and glorious pray

to speak out those words of Wonders,

Evergreens

How powerful are the days of night-time
when surrounded by strong trees, carefree
and heavy are they with fruit abundantly
Well-found they come up with tears of a lifetime

Smelling sweetly due to spices of raisin,
grace and beauty call them a blessin’
Recognized as robust giants they are,
expressing their gratitude in brilliant colour

See them standing there, tall and tender,
bending over of heaviness of rain and dew
Afflicted, yet favoured and merciful,
touched for innocence by the Master

He has given them permission, an invitation,
let your fruit be taken for food for the Nation
Your leaves, large, generous and green,
grow for greatness, healing all around is seen !
